Cycle through the "green heart of Italy", a hidden gem where fewer tourists venture. Renowned for its extra virgin olive oil, full-bodied Sagrantino wines and mouth-watering cuisine, Umbria is one of Italy's top culinary regions. Discover prestigious wine estates and indulge in the local delights of truffles, prosciutto, handmade pastas, chestnut mushrooms and pecorino cheese. Umbria is blessed with extraordinary natural beauty, dominated by dense forests, rolling valleys and medieval towns and villages. Starting in the town of Spoleto, you'll make your way north towards southern Tuscany, taking in the medieval wine villages of Trevi and Montefalco along the way, as well as the historic towns of Assisi and Perugia. Finish in the Tuscan town of Cortona, where the movie 'Under the Tuscan Sun' was filmed.
